I reinstalled the game and will see how this goes. It will stay at 600fps constant and GPU power/usage stays very low this way. I think it’s linked to the GPU as running the game on all low details seems to alleviate the effect, at least on input lag/mouse. It doesn’t appear in the in-game FPS counter when it is set to framecap 600 because it dips so fast it registers as 400-ish or sometimes 300-ish, but when using G-Sync with monitor’s OSD, it shows under either condition (less worse stutter or worse stutter), it’s dipping to 200-250 range during the lows which is why the input lag of the mouse becomes unplayably bad/stuttery. It may all be in my head though because the problem will not appear for several sessions in a row, then suddenly appear. Not sure but again, it seems like running MSI Afterburner can make the problem either come on or go away. HAGS (hardware accelerated gpu scheduling) only fixed problem for about a day. ![]() I will try uninstalling and reinstalling the game next as well.īeyond that, I may try a temporary new install of Windows on a separate removable drive to completely isolate the problem away from software other than the game (or my hardware).ĭid something change with the game this past week? Has anyone experienced anything like this? I did Scan and Repair with no problems (also did SFC /SCANNOW in Windows, and the DISM image repair thing, no problems found through either method). I have to try it for around a day since the problem appears and disappears at random.Īt this point, either my GPU is failing in a very mysterious way or something happened to the game. Last thing I’m trying right now is enabling Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS). I already run OW2 in high priority (I tried going back to Normal, no change). I made sure no unnecessary background tasks/programs are running. I ran my CPU at all stock settings (my overclock was already tested for stability in programs like Cinebench and had been running fine in Overwatch for weeks, I knew this wouldn’t be it). I disabled virtualization options in the BIOS (though Core Isolation was already disabled in Windows). I’ve turned Game Mode off and then back on. I’ve used High and Ultimate Performance Power Plans in Windows as well. It’s set to Maximum Performance in Nvidia Control Panel. But it’s driving me nuts why it’s happening in the first place. If I lock my FPS in OW2 to like 300, I can avoid the stutter. Other games: I’ve played CoD: Warzone 2.0 and Fortnite and they work fine and I don’t experience stutter, though their framerate is significantly lower than Overwatch 2’s. GPU usage and scores are normal in 3DMark TimeSpy. MSI Afterburner can sometimes make the issue appear or disappear inbetween launches of the game, but I can’t figure out any pattern to it. ![]() It’s not the drivers, I rolled back to 522.25 (first 4090 driver) and still experience the issue. There was no Windows update or Nvidia driver update since then. I signed on again Saturday or Sunday night and the stuttering had started. Then I got sick and came down with the flu. I’ve had zero issues in Overwatch 2 with this hardware until 2 days ago. Then I got the new CPU on 10/20/22, release date. Motherboard: Asus ROG Striz Z690-A Gaming WiFi D4 I have Windows 10 22H2 (Windows Home 64-bit) I have two pictures of it happening in hardware monitoring software: I believe it’s something to do with the GPU. Thank you and ♥♥♥♥ TN/KT/Squeenix.ĮDIT: Oh my God, it really did work for Wo Long, too.The stuttering is random, it’s in-game only, and it’s noticeable above 300fps (I have it set to 600fps limit, and it’s usually pushing the cap the entire time). Why is my 13900k and a 4090 running arguably worse than a 9900k and 2080 Ti? I can run it without any DLSS, Prioritizing framerate, 100% resolution, 120fps, etc. I tried the Process Lasso one and I'm kinda pissed it worked. Please let me know if this fixes things for you Here's a post from the Wo Long board with more details: exe for Stranger of Paradise in Process Lasso, right click > set CPU priority to "always" and also disable the "Windows dynamic thread priority boost" setting. It'll probably be under a menu like "advanced CPU settings" or something similarĢ) Download the free version of Bitsum / Process Lasso, find the. There are 2 ways you can disable CPU e-cores:ġ) via your BIOS at startup, so the instructions will depend on your mobo. ![]() Originally posted by uraizen:13th gen Intel here, it's even worse than my 9900k.
